Eppie's Great Race This Weekend!

MatchingDonors hosts video contest to raise awareness!

MatchingDonors.com is hosting a great contest to help raise public awareness about being a living organ donor.

The "Everybody Can Save A Life" video contest will also place the videos before Hollywood’s Top decision makers, producers, and studio executives. Winners will receive cash prizes as well as the opportunity to work with these top people in Hollywood as Assistant Producers on a television show or movie, or assistant produce an iPhone social game with the creator of Xbox Live.
How cool is that?

The first place winner will also receive two tickets and an invite to attend the Hollywood Awards® Gala where they can socialize with Hollywood’s biggest stars.

The reason for the contest? Nineteen people die every day in the United States waiting for a kidney transplant. And we love that the team at MatchingDonors.com is working hard to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Contest Rules:
Entries are accepted through Tuesday, September, September 13, 2011 and voting on video submissions until Saturday, October 1, 2011

Participants should make a 30-second video that promotes, celebrates, or teaches about being a living organ donor on MatchingDonors.com. The creative approach you take on this assignment is at your discretion. A serious approach could be taken to highlight the noble heroism and compassion of persons who donate a piece of themselves to save lives. But a funny approach could also be taken to highlight the lighter side of living organ donation. How does missing an organ change a person’s attitude in a humorous way? Just keep in mind that MatchingDonors.com wants these videos to serve effectively as Public Service Announcements (PSAs), so they should represent the process of organ donation in a positive manner.
