About Tesla Supercharger Stations
Tesla first revealed the locations of the first six Supercharger stations on September 24th. These first superchargers will enable Model S to travel long distances throughout California, parts of Nevada and Arizona with ultra-fast charging. Superchargers can give road trippers half a charge in about 30 minutes. Supercharging provides Model S owners free long distance travel indefinitely. Overtime, each station will be connected to a solar power system designed to generate more energy than is consumed by vehicles using the Supercharger. This results in a positive transfer of sunlight-generated power back to the electricity grid.

About Tesla
Tesla Motors’ goal is to accelerate the world’s transition to electric mobility. Palo Alto, California-based Tesla designs and manufactures electric vehicles (EVs) such as the Tesla Roadster and Tesla Model S, as well as EV powertrain components for partners such as Toyota and Daimler.

About Model S
With the most energy-dense battery pack in the industry and best-in-class aerodynamics, Model S has the longest range of any production electric car in the world. Model S comes with three battery options to fit the unique needs of different drivers. The 85 kWh Model S has been certified by the U.S. EPA with a range of 265 miles*, giving it the best electrical vehicle range in the industry.

Roseville Celebrates the Opening of Alberto & Carmen Heredia Park

Roseville residents are invited to attend a dedication ceremony beginning at 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, highlighting the opening of the City's 67th park.  This two and a half acre park serves the residential community in the Fiddyment Farms area. Located at 2201 Spring Grove Drive, Heredia Park was built on behalf of the City by Meritage Homes. It contains a children's play area, a small picnic area with shade, open turf, a perimeter looped walkway and two half courts for basketball.

Alberto & Carmen Heredia were born in Mexico and came to Roseville in 1943 as a guest laborer under the Bracero Program and worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1965, Alberto and Carmen opened Carmelita's Mexican Restaurant on Riverside Avenue. Alberto and Carmen were instrumental in increasing the interest for soccer for all ages and genders by organizing soccer teams and sponsoring many sport teams in Roseville. Furthermore, the Heredia's donated the first monument in Northern California dedicated to a Mexican hero - a statue of Benito Juarez stands in Roseville's Royer Park.

In recognition of their contributions to the Mexican-American community, they were honored by two former U.S. Presidents, Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. In addition, they were also recognized by four California Governors, Edmund G. Brown Sr., Ronald Reagan, Edmund G. Brown Jr. and George Deukmejian. Alberto Heredia died April 26, 1988 in Roseville, and Carmen Heredia died in Roseville, on February 4, 1991. In September of 1988, Alberto was one of five Roseville citizens honored who have made significant contributions to the community. A grove of trees at Maidu Park was dedicated to the five men. Furthermore, Heredia Drive and Heredia Court were named after the Heredia's in West Roseville.

For more information about the park ceremony, contact Tara L. Gee, Park Planning & Development Superintendent with Roseville's Parks and Recreation Division, at (916) 774-5505.
