Repeal of Prohibition Day!

This Sunday, wineries in the area invite you to celebrate with them the repeal of the prohibition.
There will be a poker run and costumes and vintage cars are encouraged!


WHERE: Various wineries
TIME: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
COST: $15 per person, $10 Designated Driver

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprise of Placerville!

Run With Santa...

Yep, you read that right. Don't miss the Run With Santa event in Cameron Park this weekend. It will be a great event to support fitness and Cameron Park youth programs. The pancake breakfast will benefit the Cameron Park Fire Department Explorer Post 89.

WHEN: This Saturday, December 4
WHERE: Cameron Park Community Center, 2502 Country Club Drive
TIME: Check in at 7 a.m. Run starts at 8 a.m., Pancake Breakfast 8 - 11 a.m.
PRICE: $25 adults, Ages 17 or younger $10. ($30 on event day)

Volunteer this Sunday in the 33rd Annual Hangtown Parade!

The El Dorado County Library needs some helpers! For the 33rd Annual Hangtown Christmas Parade this Sunday... they need volunteers to walk along side the Bookmobile and hand out books to children along the route.

Check in is at 11 a.m. with the parade starting at 1 p.m. The route begins at the Grocery Outlet parking lot on Broadway and ends near Mel's Diner on Main Street.

They would love to have your support and plus, you'll get a good 1.5 mile walk in!

“Fashion Spree and Green Tea”

This weekend don't miss the second annual "Fashion Spree and Green Tea" event, which will benefit the children and family art programs offered at the Blue Line Gallery!

The venue will have 40 tables decorated with full tea services of all eras and motifs. Green artists and vendors will have tons of creative, recycled original works for sale too! It will be a great chance to grab a unique and special gift without having to resort to a gift card!
Preview Night: You'll get the chance to vote for one’s favorites of all the decorated tables, as well and shop the goods before everyone on Sunday!

Sunday Event: Emcee Kari Hagensmith, will introduce eco-fashions and models wearing them while you get to enjoy finger sandwiches, scones, desserts and, of course, fresh brewed tea. There will also be baskets raffled off!

Sutter Creek Old-Fashioned Christmas Open House


Get your Christmas spirit in gear early and enjoy some old fashioned holiday fun on December 3-4 in Sutter Creek. To kick off the festivities, Santa will arrive down the Main Street and light the tree on Friday night. There will also be photo opportunities, children's crafts and holiday music at the Methodist Church. You also won't want to miss the group of authentic Dickens-era characters. Plus, shops along Main Street will be open until 9 p.m.

There will also be more entertainment and chances to catch up with the jolly guy in red on Saturday.

At 7 p.m. the Las Posadas Candlelight Walk will take place. The public is invited to participate in the reenactment of Joseph and Mary’s journey to Bethlehem. The parade will begin at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Spanish Street where Mary will mount a donkey and she and Joseph will process down historic street.
