Stargazing this Friday

Make plans to head out to David Girard's Vineyard this coming Friday evening for an exciting night of star gazing paired with fabulous wine.

Telescopes will be placed along the pond so bring your lawn chairs. Also, don't forget your flashlight since there won't be any lighting near the parking lots. Plus, you'll enjoy your favorite DGV wine while soaking in the starry night!

What you'll see:

- The Moon (for a short while just as it sets)

-The planet Saturn and its moons

-Galaxies in Leo, Virgo and Ursa Major

-The Hercules Cluster (a globular cluster in our galaxy)

-The Ring Nebula in the Harp

-The Beehive Cluster in Cancer the Crab

-Double stars and other multiple stars

Donations will go directly to American River Conservancy.

WHEN: June 3
TIME: 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.
COST: $5.00 suggested donation for American River Conservancy and David Girard Vineyard Wine Club Members. $10.00 for Non-Members.
