The Chamber Music Society of Sacramento Season Opening

The Chamber Music Society of Sacramento invites you to a colorful season opening for the 2012-2013 season, entitled “Greatest Hits of the Last 25 Years!”

The Opening Concert features soloist  Rebecca Plack, Soprano, and will include Mozart’s String Quartet in d minor, Dvorak’s String Quartet, “American”, and Schoenburg’s String Quartet no. 2.

Performances are on Saturday, September 22, 7:30 p.m. at Bet Haverim Synagogue, 1715 Anderson Rd., Davis; and Sunday, September 23, 7:30 p.m., at Sac State Capistrano Hall’s music recital auditorium, off State University Drive West in Sacramento. Tickets are available by subscription or at the door: $22-28, $12 for students.  Details can be found at cmssacto.org.

The Chamber Music Society of Sacramento is a local ensemble featuring World-Class music played by World-Class musicians of the Ariel Ensemble and outstanding guest soloists.  The Ariel Ensemble includes Bill Barbini and Kineko Okumura, violins; Mathew Krejci, flute; Paul Ehrlich, viola; and Victoria Ehrlich, cello.

Parking is free in the Synagogue’s parking lots, and at CSUS, in the parking structure behind Capistrano Hall.  Season tickets may be purchased at the door or by mail at cmssacto.org.
