Looking for something fun to do tomorrow night?
Check out the 20th Annual BBQ & Blues event benefiting the Placer SPCA.
According to a recent press release, "to close out the 20th Annual BBQ & Blues, the Placer SPCA has scored blues legend Curtis Salgado as the headline act. Salgado has long been recognized as one of America’s finest blues/soul singers. His most recent album was 2008’s critically acclaimed “Clean Getaway.” In past years, headliners included blues greats Koko Taylor, Elvin Bishop, Edgar Winter, Joe Louis Walker, and Pinetop Perkins. Charlie Thomas from 96.9 the Eagle and Nick Toma of CW-31's "Good Day Sacramento" will act as the event emcees, and will also show off their blues grooves in the All-Star Band on the Constable Jack’s local entertainment stage.
With eight hours of music, BBQ & Blues is a great deal for music lovers at a reduced price of just $20 in advance or $30 at the gate. The event also includes vendors, great food, and the gorgeous setting of the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. All proceeds benefit the Placer SPCA in its efforts to fulfill its vision: that every adoptable companion animal in Placer County has a home."
