Roseville Administrator Honored

We want to send a shout out to Lisa Brown, the City of Roseville’s Water Efficiency Administrator, who has been awarded the 2011 Regional Water Authority’s (RWA) Water Statesperson of the Year award.

Brown, who represents the region on the California Urban Water Conservation Council and has advocated structural changes to that body to better reflect statewide perspectives, was honored for her diligence in advancing conservation efforts and elevating the region’s profile.

Brown was also instrumental in creating water efficiency programs in Roseville that are innovative and groundbreaking for the region such as the city’s Cash for Grass Program which has garnered national attention for its innovation in achieving water efficient landscapes in Roseville.

The rebate program offers a rebate of $1 per square foot of turf removed and replaced with water efficient plantings, up to $1,000 per site.

Congrats and thank you, Lisa!
