Master Food Preservers of El Dorado County Classes in August

You have seen them at the County Fair! You may have even attended one of their food preserving classes. Master Food Preservers are agents of the University of California and work through the UC Cooperative Extension to educate the community on the safe practices of food preservation, including pickling, making cheeses, sausages, preserves and much more.

The Master Food  Preservers of El Dorado County, University of California Cooperative Extension, 2012 Public Class Schedule for August is as follows:

  • 11- Sat.  10am - noon - Pressure Canning                          Location: UCCE office
  • 14 - Tue. 10am - noon - Pressure Canning                         Location: Marshall Grange
  • 18 - Sat.  10am - noon -Low Sugar                                   Location: UCCE office
  • 21 - Tue.  10am - noon - Dehydrating & Freezing              Location: Marshall Grange
  • 25 - Sat.  10am - noon - Cheese Making                           Location: UCCE office
  • 28 -Tue. 10am - noon - Low Sugar                                   Location: Marshall Grange
The El Dorado County UCCE office is located at 311 Fair Lane, Placerville. The Marshall Grange location is at 4940 Marshall Road, Garden Valley. Should you need assistance or require accommodations for any  physical challenge, please let them know.
