March and April Events at the Sacramento Zoo

Here is a list of upcoming events for March and April at the Sacramento Zoo!

Tuesday, March 19: 9a.m.
Member Only Summer Camp Registration

Are you a Zoo Member with little ones? Give them the chance to explore the Zoo like never before. They will enjoy learning about the animals at the Zoo and around the world by seeing, hearing, smelling and even touching and feeding some of them. Dive into the world of animals and education through songs, games, crafts and other fun activities. General camp registration begins April 2nd. Registration is limited and fills quickly.

Saturday, April 6: 9a.m. to 4p.m.
Earth Fest

It’s a party for the planet! Learn how to protect and preserve the earth with environmental, wildlife and conservation organizations. During the day, visit EdZOOcation Stations to explore animal bio-artifacts; participate in storytelling and activities in the Discovery Room; come face-to-face with the outreach animals; or listen as keepers present enrichment talks in the afternoon. Recycle Rummage Sale

Nothing is better than finding a little treasure at a fantastic price! Come out to the Sacramento Zoo’s annual Recycle Rummage Sale and see what treasures are available!  Why throw it in the landfill, when someone else can use it? Proceeds from the Recycle Rummage Sale benefit the Sacramento Zoo’s conservation programs - locally and around the world! Sunday, April 14: 7a.m to 12p.m.
34th Annual ZooZoom

Join the stampede as thousands of runners raise funds to benefit the Sacramento Zoo. Are you as fast as a hare or as slow as a tortoise? Find out on Sunday, April 14th at the 34th annual ZooZoom from 7a.m. to 12p.m. at the Sacramento Zoo! The course winds through scenic William Land Park along flat, tree-lined streets. This 5K, 10K and children’s fun run is a fundraiser for the Sacramento Zoological Society. Race fees include admission to the Zoo. Sacramento Zoo – Wildly Inspiring!
Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to over 140 native, rare and endangered species and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Located near the corner of Land Park Drive and Sutterville Road in William Land Park, the Zoo is wholly managed by the non-profit Sacramento Zoological Society. This Sacramento treasure inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation. Open daily from 9:00a.m to 4:00p.m., general admission is $11.25; children ages 2-11 are $7.25 and one and under are admitted free.
