Inaugural Farm-to-Fork Week Blooms in Sacramento

The Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) is hosting the inaugural Farm-to-Fork Week from September 21-29.

During the week regional farms, restaurants, wineries and craft breweries, along with the SCVB, will join together to celebrate Sacramento as the Farm-to-Fork Capital of America.

In October 2012 Mayor Kevin Johnson, flanked by elected officials from across the region, proclaimed Sacramento the Farm-to-Fork Capital of America, a title which was later also recognized by the State of California.

During the week area farms and restaurants will host unique events promoting Sacramento as America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital. Also, local hotels will feature packages that encourage visitors to attend farm-to-fork events.
