The Women's Fund El Dorado 2014 Grant Application Process Is Open

The Women’s Fund El Dorado (WFED) is now accepting applications for its 2014 grants from nonprofit and educational organizations on the western slope of El Dorado County.

This year, WFED’s donor members voted to focus on the following areas-of-need: $40,000 in Providing Solutions to Mental Health Challenges, $15,000, divided three ways; to programs and/or services Supporting Women & Children, Breaking the Cycles of Poverty and Promoting Senior Services.

Submitted applications will be systematically reviewed by the Grants Committee to determine which grant requests will be on the ballot sent to members. Members vote in April and the grant recipients will be celebrated at the annual Grants Gala in June.

WFED is a philanthropic organization based on the principle of collective giving operating under the umbrella of the El Dorado Community Foundation. Since 2007, WFED has granted over $255,000 to local nonprofits on the western slope of El Dorado County.

Complete guidelines and application forms are available online at womensfundeldorado.org, or at the office of the El Dorado Community Foundation, 312 Main Street, Placerville. All proposals must be received in the Foundation office by 5:00 p.m., March 17, 2014.
