Help A Folsom High Graduate Win Her Fight Against Cancer

Some of you may know the names Mikaela Ubry and Keith Knapp, Folsom High graduates from the class of 2007 and high school sweethearts.

After they graduated from college in 2011, Mikaela and Keith were married. Three years later, Mikaela was diagnosed with cancer and needs our help.

Please see this report from Friday, March 21, from Channel 10 News to learn more about Mikeaela's battle with cancer:

Here are some ways you can help Mikaela:

1. Go to the following website and sign a petition "Bristol-Myers Squibb: Give My Wife a Chance against Cancer: Please Grant Compassionate Use for Mikaela Right Away" on Change.org to help her receive genetic testing.  She needs 100,000 signatures and each of YOURS counts!!! Click here to sign the petition.

2.  Keith and Mikaela received a recommendation to test the genetics of Mikaela's cancer so that they can explore therapies targeted specifically to her.  Their insurance does not cover this, and it is quite expensive.

Mikaela was very involved in community service through Folsom Hight School's Interact Club and other clubs on campus and worked for the high school newspaper, The Bulldog Times.  She truly gave her time and energy to Folsom High and the community of Folsom. Let's give back to someone who was so invloved in our community!

Any donation will help Mikaela! Click here to donate and you can also type Mikaela a message.

Please help spread the word by posting this blog post to your Facebook page and asking others to repost  so we can help Mikaela win this battle!
