Senior Peer Counselors of El Dorado County Needs Senior Volunteer Counselors

Facing the challenges of aging is difficult for many seniors in El Dorado County. Senior Peer Counselors of El Dorado County (SPC) helps seniors by providing trained volunteers under professional guidance who offer lay counseling in a confidential, 'one-to-one' setting.

SPC volunteers encourage clients to discover their own answers to the issues that are common to nearly every senior.

SPC invites interested seniors, age 55 and up, to join our next peer counseling training program. Seasoned counselors report great satisfaction in helping their peers address the issues of aging.

The classes prepare volunteers to be helpful and resourceful counselors.  The classes start on April 2, 2014.  Call 530-621-6304 for more information.

Seniors who may need or want services, ages 55 and up, are invited to contact 530-621-6304.  Your information is confidential, and they will help you decide if their services fit your needs.
