Make-A-Wish Winter, Wine & Food Event

Join  Make-A-Wish® for their 25th Winter, Wine & Food Fest on Saturday, February 23rd.

This elegant Make-A-Wish event raises funds to grant wishes for children ages 2 and 1/2 to 18 with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their human experience with hope, strength and joy.

All proceeds raised stay within the Northeastern California and Northern Nevada chapter and make dreams a reality for our local wish children. Last year this fundraiser was able to grant 87 wishes to children from this chapter.

Make-A-Wish will be honoring Joe and Pat Harbison and the Harbison Family Foundation during the VIP portion of the evening. The Harbisons have been instrumental in the caliber and success of the event and they are thrilled to be recognizing them at the 25th annual event.

As in year’s past, there will be more than 100 premier local restaurants and wineries. General admission guests will be able to enjoy these as well as a stellar silent auction from 5-7:45 p.m.. Hosting the silent auction is one of Make-A-Wish's media partners, Mix 96, and their popular morning DJ’s Dan and Michelle.

Beginning at 8 p.m., VIP guests will be escorted in to a sit down dinner and the Live Auction portion of the event, which will once again feature Auctioneer Extraordinaire David Reynolds.

Chris has had to battle with a serious heart condition since birth and is currently on the waiting list for a heart. His wish to go to the Ferrari Factory in Italy was granted last April and as you will hear, greatly impacted his life. Since September, he has been an intern at Make-A-Wish gaining experience in his major of Marketing & Communications.

Emily has a life threatening pulmonary condition which affects her immune system. She and her family leave this Sunday for her wish to go on a Caribbean cruise and to swim with dolphins.
