Dimple Records' Record Store Day to Support Homelss & At-Risk Youth

In every issue of our Style magazines, we love to put in local community events, and have a particular soft spot for events that allow people and businesses to give back to the community. Unfortunately, we sometimes hear about these events after our magazines go to print, so we aren't able to alert our readers to them...until now. One of the purposes of our blog will be to highlight these types of events, so here goes:

Who: Dimple Records & Diogenes Youth Services (non-profit that has helped local homeless & at risk youth for 40 years)

What: “Record Store Day” is taking place. Record Store Days is when independently owned record stores around the world join together with artists to celebrate the art of music. In addition to providing live music, give-away’s, etc. Dimple is using this day as a way to raise awareness for Diogenes Youth Services. Dimple is donating a third of all local sponsor dollars directly to Diogenes.

When: Saturday, April 18th

Where: Dimple is celebrating Record Store Day at all 6 of its stores (Sacramento/Arden, Citrus Heights, Roseville, Folsom, Elk Grove, and Davis)

Editor's Note: There are two Dimple stores near our area:
