McLaughlin Theatre Company is the newest project of the Not for Profit Sierra Performing Arts Association. Started in March of 2009 by Greg and Nancie McLaughlin at the insistence of Gemma McKenney, MTC’s current director, MTC helps to fill the needs of the community by providing an opportunity for talented students in Placer and Sacramento counties.
Only five years old, MTC has grown to include youth of all ages and talent levels. Musical theatre is a fun, goal oriented, group activity that teaches children the importance of team work, instills confidence, and provides skills that each student can utilize for the rest of his/her life. In addition, musical theatre fosters a love for music in all who are involved.
