Style Media Group got a sneak peek at the brand new visual and performing arts center Three Stages at Folsom Lake College this morning. During the media tour, we checked out the art gallery, the recording studio, spacious educational facilities for lectures and art labs, and of course the Three Stages, which vary in size of 100, 200 or 850-seat theaters.While the 80,000-square-foot facility wowed us from the moment we stepped into the lobby, it was the spring 2011 line-up of events that have us pumped for the grand opening next year. Featuring productions from around the world (Three Stages Presents), the local capital region (Partners of Three Stages) and productions originating at Folsom Lake College (Productions at Three Stages), we will certainly be making our way to the center quite often!
Opening festivities include a Ribbon Cutting and Open House on February 4. And the following weekend, “A Chorus Line: The National Tour” kicks off the 3-day grand opening. Other sure-to-be-popular productions include Hal Holbrook’s Mark Twain Tonight!, the Sacramento Ballet, Folsom Lake College’s dance company MOSAIC and many, many more. The Three Stages full calendar can be found online at www.threestages.net, with online ticket purchases beginning this Friday. And by purchasing tickets to three of the “Three Stages Presents” events, you’ll save 15 percent on your purchase. Buy your tickets early, as the shows are bound to sell out quickly!
