25th Anniversary Great Sutter Creek Duck Races This Saturday!

This Saturday, April 28th, is the 25th Annual Great Sutter Creek Duck Races. This is the day thousands of colorful ducks race to the winner’s circle in Historic Sutter Creek.

This event is held in the Minnie Provis Park from 9am until 4:30pm.

There’s a lot at stake, as more than $8,500 in cash and prizes will be won and somebody is going to be extra happy if their duck nets them top prize of $1,000,000!!! That’s right; one million dollar grand prize could be won!

The Sutter Creek Duck Race is good home town fun for everyone! Sunshine, games for children, live music for the adults and thousands of ducks floating down the creek ….it really doesn’t get much better than this.

This is a day for children and there are lots of free children’s games, a dunk tank and two bounce houses along with refreshments to keep kids in a ducky mood. Youngsters can compete for a wonderful array of prizes including cash, toys and new bicycles in the Duckling Race and the Ugly Duckling Contest, where children get to decorate their own duck to be in the race.

Adults get their day of play too. Food, refreshments, music and souvenir booths add to the entertainment. Sit in the shade or the sun, dance and cheer for the little quackers as they race down Sutter Creek in various heats.

Entry to the event is free. Contact (209) 223-6373 for more information on this extremely fun day in Sutter Creek.
