10th Annual El Dorado Hills Art and Wine Affaire Mother's Day Weekend

The 10th Annual El Dorado Hills Art and Wine Affaire will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 11th and 12th, from 11a.m. – 5p.m., over Mother's Day Weekend.

The event will be held at the El Dorado Hills Town Center; parking at Blue Shield. 

The Art and Wine Affaire will feature over 100 Fine Artists and 20 El Dorado County Wineries in addition to live entertainment both days in the Steven Young Amphitheater.   Rick Estrin & The Nightcats, Over the Edge and Apple Z will all be performing. Pouring will be from noon-4:30p.m., tasting is $25 for one day. 

This is sure to be a great day for the whole family! The Affaire Benefits the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce, El Dorado Arts Council and the El Dorado Hills Optimist Club.

Holiday Spirit Abounds at El Dorado Hills Town Center

In the next couple of weeks you will see El Dorado Hills Town Center transform into a holiday wonderland with lights, holiday wreaths and more. November is just the start to a fabulous holiday event season at Town Center. Here’s what’s coming in November. 

Photo Op with Santa Claus
Starting November 23rd and running through Christmas Eve, Santa Claus will be spending time at El Dorado Hills Town Center spreading holiday cheer. Families are invited to visit with Santa to share wish lists and to take a picture with Santa, with photo packages starting at $12.99.  Meet Santa at the California Welcome Center on Post Street next to Cold Stone Creamery. Holiday Tree Lighting
Nothing kicks off the season better than a holiday tree lighting.  On November 24th, El Dorado Hills Town Center will host their 48th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting in partnership with the EL Dorado Hills Chamber and Community Services District.  The event kicks off with a merchant open house starting at 4:00 p.m., and the first 100 kids to arrive will be invited to play the “Stuff Your Stocking” game. Radio Disney will be on hand hosting the Rockin’ Road Show from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., and to top things off, Santa will arrive on his traditional El Dorado Hills fire truck to light the tree with his magic glitter.  Ceremony time is from 6:30-7 p.m.  There will be kettle korn, face painting, cookies, hot chocolate and candy canes galore! Guests are encouraged to bring a camera to this very popular community event, don’t miss it!

Fun (and FREE!) Family Events in El Dorado Hills in July

El Dorado Hills Community Services District is offering some fun and free events for your family this summer!

Neighborhood Park Parties in July:
That's right, they are bringing the party to a neighborhood park near you! The party will include FREE snacks, activities and lots of fun for the whole family. The parties take place at a different park each week on Wednesdays; 6:30-7:30pm. The first party in July will be July 11 at Art Weisburg Park, then July 18 at Oak Knoll Park, and July 25 at Bertelsen Park. Come out and rock your park!


CSD Summer Photo Contest - Get Snapping:
If you or a family member enjoy taking pictures then you will love taking part in their photo contest. They are looking for pictures of people enjoying themselves in one of their classes, at an EDH park, or at a CSD event. Please submit your entry to Mike Cottrell, mcottrell@edhcsd.org. FREE Movie at the Community Park in July:
They are bringing the big screen to the CSD Community Park. Bring a blanket, some snacks, and come and enjoy  a free movie with the family at Community Park! One Friday night movie will take place in July.  "Cool Runnings" will play on July 20; the movie will begin at dark (around 8:45pm).  Parental supervision is required, no alcoholic beverages are allowed during the event.

Second Saturday of El Dorado Hills Art Walk & Family Day

Second Saturday of El Dorado Hills Art Walk & Family Day will be launching its second summer season on July 14th.

Second Saturday of El Dorado Hills Art Walk has been growing in attendance and participation since its debut at the Montano Center in 2011. With the ongoing support of the community they hope to expand its draw to include multiple business centers within the El Dorado Hills community.

Second Saturday of El Dorado Hills Art Walk & Family Day includes local artists showcasing their talent and creativeness in various art mediums including oil, watercolor, sculpture, jewelry and more. Local business vendors displaying their products and services will also be featuring event specials, raffle prizes and giveaways to those attending.

This year, Second Saturday of El Dorado Hills Art Walk & Family Day has expanded their Kids Korner to include bounce houses, obstacle course, laser tag, games, arts & crafts and face painting in addition to popcorn and cotton candy. For the adults, there will be DJ River, live music, a mechanical bull, inflatable boxing ring, food and a beer & wine garden for a full day of relaxation.

“Our focus is to provide a day of fun and family entertainment while bringing exposure to local businesses and artists,” says Onyx Pike of 5 Star Distributions. “We have added additional sponsors and partnerships with the hopes of creating another fun El Dorado Hills community event.”

Second Saturday of El Dorado Hills Art Walk will be held July 14th, 2012, from 12 – 6 pm in the El Dorado Hills Village Square (Raley's Shopping Center). The event will continue the second Saturday in August and September.
