Free "After 5 Club" Support Group Gathering In El Dorado County

The "After 5 Club" is a free support group for those who care for a relative or friend with a chronic health condition such as Alzheimer's disease.

Group members share information, coping strategies and options in a supportive and confidential setting.

The "After 5 Club" meets the second Wednesday of each month.

The next gathering is June 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Day Care Center, 935-A Spring Street, Placerville.

Add Value To Your Commnunity By Donating Your Time

The El Dorado County Senior Nutrition Program Home-Delivered Meal Service is looking for dedicated, caring volunteers to help deliver meals weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon to homebound seniors. 

For many homebound seniors, the daily personal contact is as vital as the meal.  The program brings peace of mind to clients and their families.

Volunteers who are not available for a weekly commitment can serve as back-up drivers who fill in as needed. 

The Senior Nutrition Program is a service of the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency.  For more information, please call Senior Nutrition at (530) 621-6160.

Free “After 5 Club” Support Group Gathering

The “After 5 Club” is a free support group who care for a relative or friend with a chronic health condition such as Alzheimer’s, a related dementia, stroke, cardiovascular disease and Parkinson’s.

The goal of this gathering is to share information, successful coping strategies and available options in an emotionally supportive and confidential setting.

The “After 5 Club” meets on the second Wednesday of every month. The next meeting of the “After 5 Club” will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Day Care Center, 935-A Spring Street in Placerville.

Friends Of El Dorado County Seniors Fundraiser March 24th

Friends of El Dorado County Seniors wants to invite you to their second annual Spaghetti Feed Benefit on March 24, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m..

 The Spaghetti Feed will be held at Mother Lode Lions Hall, 4701 Missouri Flat Rd., in Placerville.

All proceeds will go to benefit the El Dorado County Senior Day Care Center located  in Placerville.

Ticket prices are:
$10.00 per adult
$ 5.00 per child (under 10 years old)

There will be a no host bar and raffle prizes too!!!
