"It's the Journey Not the Destination" Show at Blue Line Gallery

Between now and January 8, be sure and stop by the Blue Line Gallery to view the work of Granite Bay students and local artists. The exhibit "It's the Journey, Not the Destination" features paintings by Danielle Johnson, Rebecca Fox, Cayley McDowell, Andrew Streter, Bryson Webb and Alexa Wolf, all advanced art students in Myron Stephens’ class at Granite Bay High School.

“My paintings explore the tension between wonderful dreams and the issues within everyday life,” said Johnson. Focusing on themes of freedom, change and identity, her creative narratives reveal natural landscapes and figures contrasted with abstract or pop art elements.

Sandra Boschert’s largescale painting, “Nostalgic Dream,” explores life’s journey in the figure of a reclining woman gracefully intertwined with the weaving path of a game board.

WHEN:
Exhibiting through January 8, Tues.-Sat., 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
WHERE: Blue Line Gallery, 405 Vernon Street, Suite 100, Roseville
