Rocklin Community Theatre Presents How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying

Rocklin Community Theatre presents How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying!

Before there was Mad Men there was How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Set in the same time frame as the popular AMC Drama it includes many of the same themes. Power, sex, ambition, greed... it's just another day at the office!

From the authors of Guys and Dolls comes one of the most delightfully irreverent musicals of all time. A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive.

Along the way, he tackles such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant "company man," the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love. This talented cast of local teens accompanied by a live orchestra proves that classic musicals like this never go out of style!

Commnunity Events Cancelled Due To Extreme Heat

The heat is on!

Due to the extreme temperatures some community events have been cancelled.

Downtown Tuesday Nights in Roseville has been cancelled tonight, Tuesday, July 2nd. The forecast shows 111 degrees at 5 p.m., and when they open it will probably feel like 117 on the asphalt!

It's almost unbelievable that they cancelled last week for rain and this week for heat!!!

For the welfare of the public and the livestock due to forecasted heat for Wednesday, the Folsom Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Folsom has decided to cancel the Folsom Cattle Drive.

"We feel the safety of the public and cattle drive participants is vital so we are addressing this issue proactively," said Folsom Pro Rodeo Chairman Dan Haverty.

The Folsom Pro Rodeo will proceed as planned from July 4-6; however, they will have cooling measures including shade, misters and complimentary water on the fourth.

Remember to keep hydrated and stay cool!
