Revolutions Natural Medical Solutions Presents Wine & Wellness


On the third Tuesday of every month this year, Revolutions Natural Medical Solutions will be holding a Wine & Wellness event at their offices in Folsom. At this free event, you're invited to come enjoy a glass of wine and receive useful information on health and wellness!

This month's topic: Nutrition in the 21st Century

When: Tuesday, March 16

Time: 7-8 p.m.

Dr. Ryan Weitman will be delivering an informative and highly entertaining talk on "Nutrition in the 21st Century." He will be discussing some of the absurd facts about the current state of the modern food environment, highlighting the paradoxes, the dangers, and the downright funny things involved with the food industry.

He will demonstrate the connections between what we eat and how it affects our health, and graphically display some of the long term medical consequences of eating the Standard American Diet. Later, he will share with you his favorite health and nutritional strategies to achieve and maintain good health and fitness.

Dr. Ryan Weitman is a Naturopathic Doctor and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He believes that good food, exercise, and healthy relationships are the cornerstone to a happy, high quality of life.

Congrats to Roseville's Gene Paolini!


Congrats to Gene Paolini, Building Official for the City of Roseville, who was recently named California’s 2009 Building Official of the Year by the California Building Officials (CALBO). This prestigious organization recognized Gene Paolini for his outstanding contributions and achievements during 2009.

These included Gene’s instrumental role in Roseville becoming the only community in California and the sixth in the United States to have its Building Inspection Division receive accreditation from International Accreditation Services.

In addition to this award, Gene has been honored as President of Sacramento Valley Association of Building Officials in 2000 and the President of California Building Officials in 2007-2008. He is currently the Chair of the California Building Officials Training Institute.

A City of Roseville employee since 1986, Gene’s contributions go well beyond 2009 and those noted above. In his career he has:

• Overseen 8.1 billion in construction value.
• Issued more than 100,000 building permits with an average of 4,000 permits a year.
• Overseen development of Roseville’s largest non-residential projects including HP, NEC, Roseville Galleria, Fountains, Bill Santucci Justice Center

Gene has been the City’s Building Official since 2002.

Access To Care Fair Coming on March 20th!


On March 20, 2010, A Touch of Understanding (ATOU) of Granite Bay will host the 5th annual Access To Care Fair on the Bayside Church campus at 8191 Sierra College Blvd. in Roseville/Granite Bay.

This FREE event is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Fair will feature over 50 exhibitors representing special needs, disability, and seniors-related products and services; autism-related workshops; and creative activities for children of all ages.

This one-of-a-kind special needs resource event kicks off with a Wheelchair Basketball Exhibition Game at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 19 to benefit ATOU. Former pro sports figures and local personalities mix it up with Sacramento’s Capital Cagers on wheelchairs for a great cause. Tickets are only $5 in advance, $10 at the door.

This year’s AccessToCare Fair features Autism Spectrum Disorder-related seminars led by Sutter Neuroscience Institute and UC Davis MIND Institute physicians, and a wheelchair tune-up clinic. Fun activities for children include clowns, jump houses, face painting, crafts and more.
