The Folsom Zoo and its visitors lost a dear friend this week. On April 25, Black Bear Fisher was euthanized due to walking difficulties and not being well for a few weeks previous. A veterinary examination showed that his condition could sadly not be treated.
Fisher had been at the zoo since 1995 and had also served as an ambassador. Jeff Boone, president of the Friends of the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary said that the visitors and staff will greatly miss his antics and caring ways.
