It's time to whip out that world famous chili recipe you've been keeping under wraps. You still have time to enter the chili cook off contest taking place on Sutter Creek's Main Street.There will be three categories:
*Best Chili (prize - $100)
*Best Chili prepared by a restaurant (prize - $50)
*Best Salsa (prize - $50)
If you're not really the cook and more the cook's best friend... there's a job for you, too - TASTING!
The prizes will be awarded according to popular vote from the event's expert tasters.
WHEN: Sunday, September 12
WHERE: Main Street, Sutter Creek
COST FOR COOKS: Hosting a chili booth is $25, salsa booth, $10.
COST FOR TASTERS: $5 for adults, $3 for children (includes a cup, spoon and ballot for voting)
TIME: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for tasting, a free car show from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
