We are excited the Mercy Hospital of Folsom marked the completion of the hospital’s new 21-bed all private room Progressive Care Unit (PCU), which increases the hospital’s bed capacity by 25 percent. Patients treated in the hospital’s PCU will require less than intensive care, but more monitoring and nursing care than is available in the general acute care unit. Congrats to all those involved with the completion!
The unit has been designed to provide a comfortable healing environment with warm earth tones and beautiful artwork.
Each room features new technology with an electronic medical record system, which enables clinical staff to monitor the patient’s progress while in his/her room.
