Barktoberfest October 6 & 7 - Enter Dogs Now for King & Queen Contest!

Placer SPCA’s signature event, Barktoberfest, raises funds for the programs of the Placer SPCA while offering an opportunity for dogs and their human companions to mingle and enjoy two entertaining functions on October 6th and 7th.

Entries are now being accepted for the King and Queen of Barktoberfest. Those who wish to enter their dogs in the King and Queen contest may go to placerspca.org/barktoberfest and follow the instructions to create a personal fundraising page. The male and female dogs who raise the most in donations will be crowned the King and Queen and will lead the Doggie Parade on Sunday, October 7.

Event Schedule:
Saturday, October 6 from 6:30 pm – 9:00 p.m.: Barks & Bids, a unique dog-friendly evening event with tastings from fine local restaurants, wineries and brewers, featuring a live and silent auction. Dogs will enjoy tastes of canine treats, too. $40 per person includes all food and beverage. Purchase tickets at placerspca.org or by calling (916) 782-7722 or (530) 885-7387, ext. 106. The location is at Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin, 4747 Granite Drive, Rocklin.

Sunday, October 7 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: a FREE Family Festival beginning with the crowning of the King and Queen of the festival and a one-mile Doggie Parade at 10:00 am. Those who wish to walk in the parade should arrive at 9:30 am. Visitors to Barktoberfest will enjoy a Kid’s Zone; doggie games and contests; a food and beverage garden hosted by the Rotary Club of Roseville; music from 96.9 The Eagle; vendors; a raffle, canine demonstrations of agility, flyball, rally and police K-9 training; and even have the opportunity to visit a pet psychic!  Sunday's event location is at Telefunken Semiconductors (formerly NEC), 7501 Foothills Blvd., Roseville.
