Sierra Wildlife Rescue's Baby Bird Nursery To Open Soon!

If you missed Sierra Wildlife Rescue’s April Baby Bird Nursery for prospective new Baby Bird Nursery volunteers classes (there is still one available on April 23, from 7 to 9 p. m), you can still be trained to feed the baby birds on Wednesdays at 5 pm at the SWR Center.

The nursery will be open to feed rescued, orphaned, and injured nestlings and fledglings from early May through July, and Sierra Wildlife Rescue always welcome and need additional volunteers. You will receive hands-on training from experienced volunteers.

SWR’s Wildlife Center is located at 3030 Newtown Rd, in Placerville. Parking is limited, so please make reservations with Barbara at 530-621-2650, or at barbaraewing@cal.net, and she will have information about when the Nursery will open.

Baby birds are adorable and fun to care for, and you will learn a great deal about the wide variety of species throughout El Dorado County.  Please come give SWR a hand with this enjoyable and worthwhile work!
