Knights Of Columbus Of Holy Trinity Church Collect Easter Hams For The Food Bank

The Knights of Columbus at Holy Trinity Church in El Dorado Hills have graciously hosted an Easter Ham Food Drive to benefit the Food Bank of El Dorado County.

Holy Trinity’s Knights of Columbus collected almost 1,300 pounds of hams and more than $400 in financial donations to support the Food Bank.

Their commitment to the community is an inspiration to others to join in the fight to end local hunger!

Mike Sproull, Food Bank Founder, said, “Knights of Columbus has proven to be a steward for the Food Bank and are committed to our at-risk population.”

Carey Fong, Food Bank Communications and Development Director commented, “The Food Bank is proud of its partnership with Holy Trinity’s Knights of Columbus.  They are dedicated to our community and have organized and implemented several successful food drives to benefit the Food Bank, we are grateful for their generosity and continued partnership.”

“The success of this food drive could not have been possible without the efforts of many people especially Pat Shields-Maher of the Holy Trinity’s Human Concerns ministry and, of course, the generosity of the Parishioners.  The Knights of Columbus are truly proud to be committed to continue efforts with the Food Bank to help in this extremely important issue of local hunger," Art Aguilar of the Knights of Columbus said.

If your family service organization, faith based group, school group and more would like to help, simply call the Food Bank of El Dorado County at (530) 621-9950 or email them at info@foodbankedc.org.  Together we can reach out to our neighbors who struggle to make ends meet.
