Celebrating KVIE’s thirty-one years of creating an accessible venue to bring art into the homes of Northern Californians, the 2012 KVIE Art Auction will showcase over 300 works of art by emerging, well-known and world-renown Northern California artists. This year, the Auction is sponsored by The Niello Company and Mansour’s Oriental Rug Gallery.
First, guests can explore all art offered for bidding, celebrate and meet inspiring local artists, enjoy fine wines provided by partner Amador Vintners Association, and sample hors d’oeuvres and desserts from local restaurants at the 2012 KVIE Art Auction Preview Gala on Monday, September 24 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. For information and tickets visit kvie.org/artauction or call (916) 641-3663.
The live, three-day Auction broadcast consists of works by renowned artists from our region (The Masters Collection including Carrie Cottini, Eric Dahlin, Emily Elders, Clayton Pinkerton, David Post) and works entered into and accepted through a jury process. This year’s category jurors are: Russ Solomon, Gregory Kondos, Gary Pruner, Avery Palmer, Annie Murphy-Robinson and Liv Moe, with First Place Awards being selected by juror Matt Bult. The Auction starts Friday, September 28 from 8pm to 11pm and continues Saturday and Sunday, September 29 and 30, from noon to 10pm.
A complete list of winners and art accepted into the collection will be available online beginning August 1, 2012 at kvie.org/artauction.
