Enjoy dancing to live blues, 50’s & 60’s music by the Diamond Bob and the Alley Sneakers, a costume contest and no-host bar. Tickets are $25 per couple and $15 for a single and available at Camelot Costumes, 3717 Taylor Rd in Loomis, the Loomis Chamber of Commerce, 6090 Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis, and Curves, 3555 Taylor Rd. in Loomis, as well as by calling 916-652-8441, or at the door.
The annual dance is dedicated to American Armed Forces, Veterans and their families. This year women in the military will receive special recognition. All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit Wounded Warriors Family Support Division (woundedwarriorproject.org/ ), and Courage For The Journey military and veterans services offered through the Gold Country Chaplaincy (goldcountrychaplaincy.com/).
The dance is organized by Sheila Lee, owner of Camelot Costumes in Loomis. “I am passionate about this fun event that raises needed funds for military families,” said Lee. A member of Soroptimist International of Loomis Basin, Lee says that the club is helping with the event. “Every year, Soroptimist members have generously volunteered to make the Spooktacular Dance a success.”
