Folsom Lake College presents Disability Awareness Art Show

Folsom Lake College will host a community reception for its 6th Annual Disability Awareness Art Exhibition on Thursday, November 7 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at the main Folsom campus (10 College Parkway, off E. Bidwell St.) in Falcon’s Roost room FR-240 (Peregrine Room).

The reception, hosted by Folsom Lake College Disabled Students Program & Services (DSPS), will include the announcement of $1,000 in scholarship stipends, the service of light refreshments, and DJ music by student Tyler Wyckoff.

Attendees will be able to view art submitted by Los Rios Community College District students with disabilities.

This year’s exhibition, which opens today, November 4, and shows through November 7, is sponsored by a grant from the Brice and Barbara Harris Fund for the Fine & Performing Arts and is open to all DSPS students currently enrolled at a Los Rios college.

Admission to the Community Reception is free (a daily parking pass can be purchased for $1). A map to the campus can be found at flc.losrios.edu – just click on “Maps” at the top of the home page and then “Main Folsom Campus.”
