It is a charming, fast-paced, energetic musical featuring a fabulous village scenes and introducing many new and fascinating characters like Louis, ze French painter, and his lovely assistant, Fifi Laroo. Frau Marta is the village troublemaker along with her friend, Frau Grista, and their two stuck-up daughters, who make life miserable for Beauty Rose and her two sisters.
The plans of Ezmergelda, an evil witch, are foiled when true love wins out over false judgments--and the lesson that "Looks can be deceiving" strikes straight to the heart.
Beauty and the Beast is presented by McLaughlin Theatre Company at the McLaughlin Studio Theatre, 3470 Swetzer Road in Loomis. It is a MTC Jr. production.
