The event will benefit The Soldiers Project/Sacramento-Greater Placer, a non- profit organization which provides free, confidential psychological therapy to active-duty military and veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as their family members and loved ones.
All-you-eat golden brown pancakes and all the fixin's will be served from 8:30- 11:30 a.m. in the church parish hall, 1950 Junction Blvd. (corner of Junction and Baseline Road) in Roseville.
The hosts – and expert chefs – for the event is the congregation's Knights of Columbus Council 12887. Last year the food fest raised about $2,500 for The Soldiers Project in ticket sales and donations.
Besides pancakes, the June 15 menu will include deluxe pancakes, eggs, sausage, country potatoes, country biscuits and gravy, orange juice, fruit cocktail, coffee and tea. The pancake breakfast is bargain priced at just $8 for adults and $3 for children under 12 years of age. The meal will be free of charge to disabled veterans and active-duty military in uniform.

The Soldiers Project/Sacramento, named in 2012 by the White House as one of the nation's top 20 military service organizations, is comprised of about 45 volunteer therapists who last year gave nearly 1,000 hours of free treatment to soldiers and their families. Its unlimited services go beyond those provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs medical system.
