Shelly Willis, Art in Public Places Program Director for the city and county of Sacramento, has selected 62 works of art from 655 submitted from artists from across the U.S. and abroad for Roseville Arts’ 33rd Annual Open Show.
The exhibit opened on February 20 and runs through April 9th at the Blue Line Gallery in Roseville.
“It was a pleasure and honor to view the 655 submissions,” wrote Willis, who is accustomed to evaluating and selecting from sizable numbers of artwork. “The quality and range of ideas expressed in the paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, and mixed media works submitted was vast and impressive.”
The exhibit will showcase the fine artwork of forty-two artists from eight different states, in a variety of media, from oil and watercolor painting and ceramics to solar etchings and mixed media that includes crochet and button-work, copper and reeds.
