We're huge fans of anything and everything eco-friendly, so when we heard about this exciting new endeavour by two of our favorite local artists, we couldn't be more jazzed!
In their own words:
"Combining our energies, artists Lisa Deniz and Brandy Hart-Ureel , collectively pack a powerful punch with mixed media components of fused glass, clay sculpture, metal sculpture and paintings.
These new works are very organic indeed…finding scrap yard jewels amidst the rubble; we are bringing these retired components back to life. The energy contained within a time well served becomes the inspiration when combined with our modern sculpted elements.
Together the story unfolds and the present is woven with the past. This eco-minded approach to design is just the beginning. Designs and components are virtually photographed and virtually installed to provide you the visual you need…prior to fabrication.
And the colorations….all I can say is, Wow!!!
These rusted, scratched, worn, distressed and evolved surfaces are they true gift of time. They are so tantalizing that we have created an entire line of graphically multi-layered 2D images that can be printed on glass, fabric, wood and even metal….creating a line of works that are friendly for both interiors and durable for exteriors.
