F.E.A.T. Teams Up With Maribou Salon and Mrs. El Dorado County

In an effort to generate funds for autism education and support, Maribou Salon and reigning Mrs. El Dorado County Holly Bialorucki are teaming up with FEAT (Families for Early Autism Treatment) for a special fundraising Cut-A-Thon on Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 12-4pm at Maribou Salon in Folsom located at 702 Sutter Street Suite G.

Participants will receive a chic haircut from Maribou stylists completely free of charge. Donations are welcomed with 100% of all proceeds going directly to the FEAT Organization.

“What an incredible opportunity to get a new look, while helping to transform others’ lives” says Bialorucki, who is not only the current reigning Mrs. El Dorado County but is also in the running for Mrs. California International 2013. “It is a cause that is near and dear to my heart, and affects so many people.” Holly Bialorucki’s daughter was diagnosed with autism at three years old. Today, she is a popular, vibrant, teenager in middle school who participates in typical activities for someone of her age. Holly and her daughter will be at the event to meet, greet and praise the success of early treatment.

About FEAT:
Families for Early Autism Treatment is a non-profit organization of parents, family members and treatment professionals dedicated to providing the best outcome education, advocacy and support for the Northern California autism community. It offers a network of support where families can meet each other to discuss issues surrounding autism and treatment options.  FEAT’s Parent Mentoring Program offers one on one assistance to families who want to learn about autism and how to treat it. Veteran parents work with parents new to autism individually to share the scientifically based road map of treatment and self advocacy that has been successful for those who have walked the path previously.  More information is available at feat.org.
